Summary
Ujka, an experienced Tech Ed teacher, unintentionally becomes a symbol of the fight against the European Union. He takes on the many side-effects of the reforms, draws attention to the dangers that threaten local habits and customs, and transforms from a little man into a people’s tribunal. Inadvertedly, he also becomes a YouTube star. Although most people mock him, he uses his influence to become an increasingly important catalyst for his disgruntled neighbors. Ujka’s companions are his sister Maca, the voice of reason in this story, her son Jova, neighbors Stole and Raka, Lela the revolutionary, and, representing the EU, Miller, the Administrator, and Željka, a young and ambitious lawyer.
Ujka, together with his buddy Stole, keeps opening new topics, facing obstacles, and increasing his Youtube popularity gained overnight. He will try to get a PhD, seeing that everybody around him have degrees, he will meet Arab investors, feel the fear of women’s rights, promote Serbian cuisine, find himself in the middle of the US-Russia global conflict, be accused of paranoia as he is convinced that he is possessed by George Soros.
