DNEVNIK.hr’s mobile app is the winner of the award given by the World Association of News Publishers

Nova TV continues to achieve global success. At the 15th European Digital Media Awards awarded by the World Association of News Publishers, the mobile app of the most read Croatian portal DNEVNIK.hr was named the number one in the News website or mobile service category.
“We are glad that DNEVNIK.hr mobile app has been recognized at the international level once again in terms of technology and innovation. This award is the result of the work of a team of top experts and confirms that we are trend leaders in the media industry. We will continue to strive to listen and respond to the needs of our readers in order to make their experience even better and of higher quality,” said the New Media Director of Nova TV, Maja Blumenšajn.
The explanation of the award states that DNEVNIK.hr has developed a modern app that offers better visibility, a simple and intuitive environment that meets the needs of a wide target audience. What delighted the jury were the impressive results, with the number of real users almost doubling on a monthly basis. The app has a more intuitive, transparent, visually attractive interface and enables smarter connection and presentation of content and thematic units, which encourages users to download the app to their mobile devices.
Some of the comments of the jury members: “It looks very good across different platforms. It has a good combination of videos and images. All in all, it is a really nice product that encourages the user to click and move on.”
The awards given by the World Association of News Publishers recognize publishers whose projects are commended for the high standard of innovation and knowledge of the needs of their audience.
DNEVNIK.hr’s mobile app is already recognized on the domestic and international scene of the media industry. At the Days of Communication, it won the MIXX award, and it entered the finals of two categories of the prestigious ”Digiday Media Awards Europe”. It was nominated in the category of Best Digital Product Innovation and Best Publisher Platform, and thus found itself in competition with some of the most important media in the world.
