13. March 2019

The Brainz TV channel, which has won audiences in Serbia and the region over the past few months, has launched its own web portal – www.brainz.center – which will feature current news from the worlds of science, education and culture, with focus on global trends in those fields.

The team of young people at Brainz has come up with a creative concept to present pupils and students, artists, scientists and researchers as well as institutions working on scientific projects.

The modernly-designed Brainz portal provides the most topical information in 15 scientific fields, news from the art and literature worlds and stories of young people who have been successful at competitions at home and abroad.

The portal is inviting its users to send in their own stories about geniuses they know. “The launch of this platform is another important step in popularizing and affirming education, allowing other media to find interesting stories and information from virtually all fields of science and the arts in one place,” Brainz CEO and Editor in Chief Zivojin Zika Petrovic is quoted as saying in a press release.

The new web portal will also be link between institutions of education and culture, science and research and a wide audience with the aim of expanding and linking the academic networks in Serbia and the region.

The Brainz TV channel is the result of cooperation between the United Media company and the Serbian Science TV (Srpska naucna televizija) and went on the air at the end of 2018. Its authors came up with unique scheduling allowing viewers to enjoy interesting shows such as Champions of Knowledge, Scientist CV, Academy, Brainz Art and a number of series which are hosted by the best students majoring in biology, geography or medicine.

United Media is distributing this channel free of charge to all cable operators and has invited them to include it in the platforms and help its development with the aim of promoting Serbia’s intellectual potentials.

The SBB Foundation and SBB company recently launched a campaign to gather additional funds and will earmark two Dinars per customer for the Brainz channel.

The Brainz channel is part of United Media.
